June is an event-filled month

Festival of Chefs 2010 is now a warm memory, and photos from all five weekends can be found in our gallery. The last couple of weekends had a very strong closing with lots of attendance, and the chefs outdid themselves with some amazing food preparations.

In the meantime a few announcements for events happening in June are on the agenda:

'Slow Food Chefs Series' is being hosted by reds bistro on Friday, June 18th. Chef Michael Steh will host a 7 course meal with CheeseB's Afrim Pristine representing 3 of Ontario's cheesemakers for the evening among many other chefs in attendance working their magic. The event aims to generate funding for a chefs field study Terra Madre, Italy. For tickets, contact reds bistro or purchase tickets online at Eventbrite.

Tuesday Evening, June 22.
CheeseB is a featured presenter with reciprocal support of their 2nd Annual Seafood for Thought™ hosted by the Toronto Zoo. As they have been promoting all month at our May Festival--the event proceeds supports their Conservation Fund for projects that will protect wildlife and wild spaces. It will be the cheesekeeper hanging with the zookeepers for a bonanza outdoor evening. Further event details and ticket ordering can be found on their site here.

And one other event to plan for... kick off the summer in style with a Canada Day Long Weekend start to Langdon Hall's—Weekend Barbecue Series. Each week Chef Gushue hosts a featured chef and/or presenter. Afrim Pristine will be in attendance for weekend getaway packages.

Plenty of Indulgence abounds for the month of June!
